hi everyone!
so, this is my first blog post and, in all honesty, i’m not entirely sure where to start. i thought it might be a good idea to share a little bit of my story and how i got interested in health and wellness. i also thought i could share a bit more of my vision for this blog!
as i mentioned in the about me section, i am currently a senior at baylor university. i am studying marketing and management, and i plan on attending law school. i love Jesus, my family and friends, matcha, the gym, sunrises, the beach, and books!
when i first got to college, i was a little lost. i didn’t know what i wanted to study, i missed home and my family, and i missed playing sports. in high school, i was really active - i played volleyball and basketball, and i ran track and cross country. when i got to college, i wasn’t sure how to navigate working out by myself - without a team and without any coaches.
so i, along with my twin sister, started going to the gym. i didn’t really know what i was doing in the gym for a while, but i slowly started to love working out! i started focusing more on eating healthy foods, getting enough sleep, spending time outdoors, and, slowly but surely, i started to enjoy fitness. i realized that fitness and prioritizing my health could be fun!
as time went on and my college life got busier, it got harder to make time for prioritizing my health and wellness. i had to learn to adapt and manage my time better. i had to develop routines and discipline, but still make time to rest and do the things that i enjoy! my vision is that, through this blog, i can share some of my tips, my routines, my hobbies, and so much more!
as i was thinking about a sort of mission or vision statement for this blog, 1 corinthians 10:31 came to mind. this verse tells us to “do everything for the glory of God.” with everything that we do in our busy lives - fitness, academics, careers, sororities - we can do everything for God’s glory! it is a blessing that we get to live this life and do all that we do to point people towards Christ and His love. i hope that this blog will be a source of encouragement, a little bit of practical wisdom, and a reminder of His love!
well, that’s it for this time!
with love, sar
